We are less than two months into 2021, and it’s already been extremely hectic. With

many overwhelming things going on in the world, it’s hard to feel like we have some

element control, and, let’s be honest, some of us are starting to go crazy. However, it is

important to do small things every day that can improve our quality of life, especially in

this second lockdown. One thing that can help is creating a small, indoor herb garden.

Although this won’t fix all the craziness in the world, it will certainly spice up your

cooking with fresh herbs! Today I’m going to teach you how to make your very own herb

garden.

For this project, you will need a couple of mason jars, soil, and seeds! It’s really

that simple. Fill the jars with soil, plant the seeds, water them, and wait for them to grow

into beautiful herb plants. Additionally, there are some variations you could do.

If you don’t want to wait for the plants to grow, you can buy sprouted plants and

use them as they grow. You would still have to take care of them, however, the process

would be a little shorter.

There are also many ways you can display them. Keeping them on a sunny

ledge would not only provide the plants with the sunlight they need but create an

aesthetic and bright touch to your home decor. Find fun ways to decorate the jars; paint

them, add stickers, draw the labels on in sharpie, any way you want to do it.

While there are many ways to go at this activity, there is only one rule. Have fun!
